  • Ranking

In online marketing, the term ranking describes the position of a website in a search engine. For a website to "rank" well, various factors such as fast loading times or the use of appropriate keywords must be fulfilled. This is achieved through professional search engine optimization.

  • Reach

In online marketing, reach is used to indicate how many people a particular advertising measure or medium has reached. This key figure can be used to clearly measure the success of a campaign or website, for example. Reach is indispensable for media planning and serves as a basis for calculating the price that must be paid for the placement of an advertisement.

  • Relaunch

A relaunch can refer to both a product and a website. In both cases, the aim is to revise and improve the offering. A product relaunch aims to make a product more attractive through functional or design-specific changes and thus extend its life cycle. The website relaunch serves to adapt the website to a change in user behavior, for example, and to bring it up to date in terms of structure, technology and design.

  • Responsive design

Responsive design - or responsive web design - enables websites to be displayed in a user-friendly way on different end devices - e.g. on desktops, tablets and smartphones. The design automatically adapts to the conditions of the display environment. Responsive design is now considered the standard for the realization of websites, as mobile devices now play a greater role in Internet usage than desktop devices.

  • Responsive first

Responsive first - or mobile first - means that the design, performance and user-friendliness of websites are increasingly geared towards mobile devices. As more users have been making search queries and visiting websites via smartphone or tablet than via desktop since 2015, web design has adapted accordingly. In terms of concept, it is first geared towards use on mobile devices and only in a second step towards use on desktop devices.

  • Retargeting

Retargeting is an advertising strategy in which users who have clicked on a specific offer on the web are reminded of this offer during their subsequent web visits. This is done with the help of advertisements. This results in significantly less wastage, as users have already indicated an interest and there is a high probability that they will ultimately take the desired action - e.g. purchase the advertised product.

  • Return on investment (ROI)

The return on investment is a key business figure. It indicates when an investment starts to become profitable. The profit achieved is set in relation to the capital invested. The calculated return can be used to assess whether an investment is worthwhile.
